Beyonce Knowles began as one of the lead singers in the hit group Destiny's Child for over seven years. (LOVED THEM! Saw them in concert! Awesome!) Popular hits included "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Say My Name," "Bug a Boo," "Jumpin' Jumpin'" (one of my fave songs of theirs), "Survivor," "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women." Knowles has won high honors and awards such as "Songwriter of the Year" and a Grammy in 2006 for "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals." By 2003, Knowles chose to break off into her now successful solo career with her debut solo album "Dangerously In Love." Her second album called "B'day" released on her birthday, featured songs such as "Deja Vu," "Ring the Alarm," "Crazy In Love" and "Irreplaceable."
By December of 2006, Knowles had five more Grammys under her belt, one of which was for "Best Contemporary R&B Album."
